Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a Manchester United player. Let that sink in for a minute...

At 34-years-old, the Swede may well be approaching the latter stages of his career, but he's still comfortably one of the leading strikers in world football.

After netting a remarkable 37 league goals in Ligue 1 last term - 16 more than any other player - there's no reason why he won't once again prove his credentials at his new club.

Whatever happens between now and May, United fans should expect the unexpected.

But what shirt number will Zlatan wear in Manchester?

Well, after announcing that he is very much a United player, the club are yet to reveal the shirt number that he will take on. 

It must be documented, however, that pictures of 'Ibrahimovic 9' have come to prominence on social media.

The number 9 currently belongs to France international Anthony Martial, so it will be interesting to see whether he opts to switch to another number.

One thing is for sure, United fans will be very, very excited by the prospect of the duo starring alongside each other next season.
