Ryan Giggs shares his thoughts on Paul Pogba

You couldn’t blame Manchester United fans if they have a few reservations about resigning Paul Pogba.

Of course, the Frenchman is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the world right now, but his time at United wasn’t exactly a success. The 23-year-old made just seven appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson at the club before he was allowed to leave at the end of his contract.

But, as time goes on, Ferguson’s choice to allow Pogba to leave is looking more and more foolish.

So much so that, just four years after receiving just £800,000 for him in compensation, United and Jose Mourinho are willing to splash £100 million to bring him back to Old Trafford.

Pogo is currently impressing for France at Euro 2016 with his excellent all-round performance, including a goal, helping his country reach the semi-finals.

And one man that knows Pogba more than most is Ryan Giggs. The Welshman was obviously at the Theatre of Dreams with the Frenchman and spoke about him whilst appearing on ITV as a pundit.

Giggs on Pogba

"He's a talented player. He can shoot with both feet, pass the ball with both feet and you don't realise how big he is," he said.

"Physically he's immense, he's strong, he's quick, and he's got everything. He has got everything."

Keys' claim

When United were first linked with Pogba, many supporters probably didn’t get too carried away - especially considering they are without Champions League football next season. But reports have really gathered pace recently and beIN Sports’ presenter Richard Keys added to the speculation on Sunday night when he tweeted: “Hearing that Utd think they've got Pogba,” he claimed.

“He wanted Barca. Real can't afford him - 100m + 250 grand a week. Watch this space #beINSports.”

It’s unclear where the former Sky Sports presenter received but United supporters should heed his advice - watch this space because the Pogba transfer saga is set to be the story of the summer.

Mourinho has wasted no time in the transfer window at the Red Devils. He has already completed deals for Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic while Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be confirmed imminently. If Pogba joins the aforementioned trio, then United will really be a force to be reckoned with next season.
