We may still have Battleground to go, but Summer Slam is already shaping up with several feuds looking likely to carry over to the biggest event of the Summer.

While we expect to see John Cena vs AJ Styles, Charlotte vs Sasha Banks and at least two former Shield members battle over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, things could all be set to change.

One match confirmed

One thing that won't be changing when the WWE hosts the draft on July 19th however, is the future of the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.

Fans have been wondering for weeks, what will be the fate of Lesnar after the draft? Will the WWE keep their best part time superstar exclusive to one show or will he go between both?

While that answer still hasn't been given, we now know that we will find out who Brock Lesnar will be facing at Summer Slam on Smackdown.

This coming Thursday night on Smackdown, the announcement will be made about who will step into the ring against Lesnar at Summer Slam.

Lesnar has main evented three of the last four Summer Slam events and has faced some top talent at those shows.

John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H and CM Punk have all faced Lesnar at Summer Slam in recent years, so the bar is set pretty high for whoever will take him on in 2016.

Old theory out of the window?

One of the biggest theories since the Royal Rumble about who could challenge Lesnar eventually is the always enigmatic Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt and his family are currently involved in a feud against Tag Team Champions the New Day and while it is possible that that could just be for Battleground, if they end up not only getting a title match at Battleground, but also winning, then a rematch will certainly be on the cards.

That being said, it would not be impossible to have Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman face the New Day and leave Wyatt to face the beast.

Either way, it is expected to be a big name that will face Lesnar at Summer Slam.
