Weird things happen in the WWE all the time, it's what you have to put up with when you watch television that is controlled by Vince McMahon.

The WWE Chairman has a different sense of humour to many - he thought Triple H simulating sex with a dead woman in a coffin was a great and hilarious idea - and that showed again on Monday Night Raw last night.

On the Independence Day episode of RAW, as all of the United States celebrated the events of 1776, WWE fans were treated to a food fight from the wrestlers.

You can check out a video of the food fight here.

After someone threw a plate of food at Aidan English of The Vaudevillains to try and get him to stop singing, all hell broke loose.

Dolph Ziggler squirted chocolate sauce all over a white-suit-clad The Miz with Fandango chucking cake on Maryse. Then it descended into absolute chaos.

The best parts from the food fight have to include Titus O'Neil trying to slap a hot dog in someone's face, Bo Dallas getting drenched in punch and Kevin Owens being the smartest man in the room by hiding under a table with a bag of crisps until things blew over.

There was also a lovely double chokeslam to Heath Slater delivered by Kane and the Big Show thrown in for good measure. No expense spared and no food, drink or condiment left inside their containers. Vince McMahon humour at its very finest.

Shockingly, this is not the first time there has been a food fight in the WWE. Amazingly, there have been enough for a Top 10, which the WWE's official YouTube channel posted in 2012. It might be time for an updated version.
