France are into the Euro 2016 final after beating Germany 2-0.

Antoine Griezmann was the hero as his brace ensured Didier Deschamps' side would battle Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal for the trophy.

A dubious penalty given in first-half stoppage time gifted France the chance to take the lead, with Griezmann firing home emphatically from the spot despite Germany dominating for much of the opening 45 minutes.

Joachim Low's men had it all to do heading into the second half but come the 72nd minute, the tie was put beyond reasonable(ish) doubt.

And here's something you don't hear very often: Manuel Neuer was at fault. From Paul Pogba's lovely skill and cross down the left, the Bayern Munich 'keeper flapped and hit the ball straight into Griezmann's path, who found the back of the net. Watch the video below.

Not something you would expect from world football's 'best goalkeeper'.

Nevertheless, France's Euro 2016 dream remains alive with Portugal standing in their way of glory.

Ronaldo and co. saw off a spirited Wales side 2-0 in the other semi-final on Wednesday night thanks to goals from the Real Madrid superstar himself and former Manchester United teammate Nani.

France will enter the clash favourites having won all but one of their games en route to the final, and if tonight's showing was anything to go by, they'll take some beating.

Defensively resilient and dangerous going forward, the French look like true winners.
