Euro 2016 Team of the Tournament announced by EA Sports

After a somewhat timid start to the tournament, Euro 2016 has lived up to every expectation.

Hosts France and Portugal will meet on Sunday in the final to conclude what has been a fascinating and exciting month of international football.

Paul Pogba and co. are favourites heading into the heavyweight clash, though a side boasting the world-class Cristiano Ronaldo can never be ruled out.

And just to add to the excitement surrounding the final, EA Sports have announced the FIFA 16 European Team of the Tournament. Here's the starting XI, with a graphic of the full 23-man squad further below:

Manuel Neuer (Germany); Jerome Boateng (Germany), Pepe (Portugal), Giorgio Chiellini (Italy); Eden Hazard (Belgium), Toni Kroos (Germany), Paul Pogba (France), Antoine Griezmann (France), Gareth Bale (Wales), Dimitri Payet (France); Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal).


Portugal superstar Ronaldo is the highest-rated player in the team (97), with club teammate Bale close behind on 94 and top goalscorer Griezmann given a 92-rated upgrade.

Manchester United target and France sensation Pogba received a boost to 90, with the 23-year-old expected to complete a move to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

Where the bench is concerned, Wales duo Aaron Ramsey and James Chester were both rewarded with 86 and 80-rated boosts respectively, while Italy hero Gigi Buffon was given 88.

It's Bale's card that will be the most highly sought-after amongst avid FIFA Ultimate Team fans, though.

The Real Madrid winger's statistics read as follows: pace 99, shooting 95, passing 94, dribbling 94, defending 75 and physical 93.
