Are WWE planning something huge for Big Cass?

It was announced earlier this week that Brock Lesnar will return to WWE one August 21st at SummerSlam where he will face the returning Randy Orton.

There are many rumours surrounding this match including ones that suggest that Randy Orton could only be set to return in order to retire after the match. This would then leave Brock Lesnar open to another feud and it seems that Big Cass could be being build up for that.

According to Dave Meltzer it seems that Cass is the one only logical guy that WWE could pick to defeat Lesnar but it may not happen for another few years. The only other option would have been Roman Reigns but it seems that the crowd reactions to him may have put WWE off that idea.

Brock Lesnar hasn't been pinned in a WWE match since 2013 when he was pinned by Triple H to end their feud. Since then Brock has gone on to end the streak of The Undertaker and defeat John Cena to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a title that he has held longer than any other superstar since it was created in 2013.

Lesnar has become an unbeatable monster with Paul Heyman at his side and many of the WWE Universe have been asking who the person to finally defeat him would be. Goldberg was a name that many thought would return after his cameo on WWE2K17 but now it seems Vince McMahon is finally ready to push the new generation forward.

Big Cass has become a firm fan favourite since his main roster debut along with Enzo Amore a few months ago and even managed to continue to carry the team when Enzo suffered a concussion at Payback in May, but this would be by far his biggest test to date.

Colin Cassidy has the look of a star who could be the face of the company, he is seven foot tall and he has the in-ring skill to back up his size which is quite rare. The only thing holding Cass back would be his promo skills.

Cass was forced to cut promos on his own when Enzo was out injured but many of the WWE Universe commented on the fact that Cass did come off as quite shy when working on his own.

To be the first person to actually pin Brock Lesnar in more than three years would be an incredible accolade to put on someone as fresh and new to the roster as Big Cass which gives the impression that big things are set to happen for the star. It could be an exciting few months for both Cass and his partner Enzo because this news also puts their tag team in jeopardy as well.
