Brock Lesnar may well be the beast of WWE, but it was clear for all to see that he was going to face one of his greatest hurdles yet on his return to UFC.

Indeed, no one appeared to be quite sure as to whether Lesnar had the tactical nous to overcome Mark Hunt.

Lesnar, 38, quickly proved just what he's all about.

He may well have been out of UFC since 2011, but Lesnar always appeared to be in control of his opponent in Las Vegas.

It was Lesnar who dominated the first round and, as you can see by the video below, he produced a fine take down on his rival.

Hunt certainly stepped up his game in the second round, but Lesnar once again took control for the final round and deservedly claimed a 29-27 victory.

It was a memorable night for Lesnar, who insisted that he will take it one day at a time after the victory.

Unsurprisingly, there's now talk of a title fight for Lesnar but it remains to be seen as to whether he will step back in the UFC ring anytime soon.

With WWE commitments - Lesnar will fight Randy Orton at SummerSlam - it looks set to be an interesting period for the Beast.

Who should Lesnar fight next? Have your say below!
