Former Porto player Benni McCarthy celebrates Eder's goal in brilliant style

Moroka Swallows v Orlando Pirates - Telkom Knockout Quarter Final

Former Porto striker Benni McCarthy, seemed to forget he was a pundit in a studio and not a fan in the stadium after breaking into an outstanding dance celebration when Eder smashed home the winner for Portugal in the European Championship final against France.

The South African footballer could be heard crying: "I'm a rich man now, I had money on Portugal", which was his justification after being asked whether he would like the earth to swallow him up.

After what seemed like a final with no real excitement, McCarthy, who had backed the underdogs to win, created the best moment of the evening.

The striker who holds the title for the most international goals scored for South Africa, did not celebrate any of his 32 goals in quite the same way as Eder's. A goal to not only break the deadlock that had occurred after the initial 90 minutes but to end Cristiano Ronaldo's hunt for international glory.

Unknown to many, McCarthy has shown off his dancing talents before after collaborating with South African music group TKZee. They produced a song entitled 'Shilbobo', which was released in the run-up to the 1998 FIFA World Cup and features vocals from McCarthy.

With a celebration like that it can only be speculated how much the ex-Porto man may have won.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker was forced to give up international football in 2010 after struggling with his fitness.

He may have taken on this punditry role for the Euros, but perhaps a new career in dancing is on the cards. Or not...
