Randy Orton has been out of action for a damn long time after injuring his shoulder back in September of last year.
Orton, who suffers from hypermobile shoulders and can pop his shoulder blade out after a bad fall, apparently suffered his injury while taking out the garbage to the curb.
That has kept him out ever since, a whole ten months, but Orton's comeback to the WWE has finally been confirmed with a match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. However, that isn't the date of Orton's return, which was revealed yesterday.

Last night, WWE announced that Orton will be making his televised return at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view.
However, he won't be wrestling. Instead, The Viper will appear on The Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho.
The Battleground card is already shaping up pretty nicely. We are going to see Orton make his return, Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship and Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens in a feud-ending fight.
Brock Lesnar is not yet scheduled, but he could very well be a surprise appearance to stare down Orton at some point.
The WWE would be crazy not to capitalise on his success at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt. They already missed a trick by not having Orton in the crowd for that fight, they can't afford to miss out again.
Also confirmed for Battleground is John Cena + Enzo and Cass vs The Club, The Miz vs Darren Young for the Intercontinental Championship and Becky Lynch vs Natalya.
