Here we are again. Manchester United are reportedly interested in securing the services of Spain international Cesc Fabregas.

That is according to the Mirror, who claim that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is ready to swoop for his former player.

Fabregas, 29, was previously linked with a move to Old Trafford, but it appeared that ship had sailed...until now.

Indeed, the report documents that the Special One really could attempt to be reunited with the playmaker during this transfer window.

With new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte set to change the dynamic of his squad at Stamford Bridge - the quartet of N'Golo Kante, Radja Nainggolan, Joao Mario and Andre Gomes have all been linked - it's far from certain as to whether Fabregas will be handed a key role next season.

Ultimately, if Conte decides that he wants to move Fabregas on over the coming months, then Mourinho really could come calling.

Fabregas well and truly flattered to deceive under the Portuguese's guidance last term, but it seems that Mourinho wants to offer him a shot at redemption at Old Trafford.

But how do fans of the Red Devils feel about the possibility of landing Fabregas? Well, it's fair to say that their response has been fairly unanimous.

United supporters, as per Twitter, have made their stance on the situation quite clear and they do not want Fabregas at their club.

Here's how they have reacted:

Well, one United supporter would take Fabregas...

United transfer window

It's certainly going to be an interesting period for the club, who have already landed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly in this transfer window.

France international Paul Pogba has been heavily linked with a mega £100 million switch from Juventus, but it's far from certain as to whether the club will be able to get that deal over the line.

Pogba, 23, departed Manchester in favour of a move to Italian giants Juventus back in 2012 but has quickly established himself as one of the leading midfielders in world football.

Despite his enormous price-tag, he would represent a remarkable coup for the club in their pursuit of glory.
