Matt Hardy invites Bray Wyatt to his battlefield following Raw segment

The big story wrestling fans have been talking about this past week is the ‘Final Deletion’ segment that aired on TNA, some found it to be brilliant while others weren’t so fond of it.

The fact that it had fans buzzing, the WWE were forced to retaliate and tried to one-up their rivals this past week on Monday Night Raw. While Final Deletion featured Matt and Jeff Hardy, ‘The Compound’ showed a battle between The New Day and The Wyatt Family.

As expected, this has drawn similarities, especially with the setting of both segments as well as the timing, and this hasn’t gone unnoticed by the rival promotion.

Once the segment had aired on Raw, both Hardy and his real-life wife, Reby Sky, provided their thoughts on The Compound on their social media accounts, with Sky firing plenty of shots at the WWE stars, including a side-by-side shot of Hardy and Wyatt, implying it was a direct copy.

The ‘Broken’ Hardy also had his say, suggesting he set a trend the WWE were following, something that’s looked down upon with the larger company imitating their smaller rivals.

Wyatt didn’t take this lying down either; he took a more direct approach by referring to the broken character Hardy has been portraying.

Regardless of whether the WWE made a move because of the popularity of the Final Deletion, it’s perfect for competition and in reality, you could argue it’s helped TNA along the way, with more and more people tuning in to see the similarities.

With the WWE open to doing business with more promotions, it won’t be a surprise to see this inter-promotional war go out of hand.
