The 28-year-old has produced what must surely be a genuine contender for the worst own goal of all time - and we don’t say that lightly - in a friendly against Stal Mielec.

Under pressure from Stal Mielec’s right winger, the Serbian left-back inexplicably lashed a clearance across the face of his goal and looked on in horror as the ball ricocheted off the far post and into the back of the net.

If he’d tried that a million times, it wouldn’t have gone in. In it’s own special way, this was a moment of pure magic.
