Chelsea are likely to be amongst the most active teams in the transfer market this summer following the arrival of Antonio Conte.

The Italian manager will want to add to his squad so he can mould them to fit his high-octane style and slowly but surely a clear picture of who he is pursuing has started to emerge.

It seems as though Chelsea's midfield is an area he's looking to address pretty quickly. While Conte has a couple of top class options in Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic, it seems as though the former Juventus manager is on the lookout to add some serious steel to the middle of the park judging by his hit-list.

According to the Mirror, at the very top of the pile is Leicester's N'Golo Kante. While reports that the Blues have agreed a deal for the Frenchman, who impressed at Euro 2016, appear wide of the mark - their interest is real.

Kante has a £100,000-per-week deal on the table from Leicester but is yet to commit either way - and that could open the door for Chelsea.

Conte has three other names on his list - Sporting’s Joao Mario, Roma’s Radja Nainggolan and Zenit’s Axel Witsel.

Young Brazilian forward Gabigol, who currently plies his trade with Santos and is valued at £25 million, is also wanted by Chelsea.

Santos are trying to persuade the highly-rated prospect to extend his contract and stay in Brazil, however he reportedly wants a move to England and Chelsea could swoop.

But that wouldn't mean the end of Diego Costa, who has been linked with a move away from the club. The Mirror say that he is set to stay put for the upcoming season.
