What do you buy a man that already has everything he could possibly wish for?

Cristiano Ronaldo must have asked himself this very question after Portugal’s unexpected Euro 2016 victory last weekend.

The world’s highest-paid footballer - and the joint-fourth richest celebrity in the world, according to Forbes - did, however, find one particularly expensive treat for himself.

The 31-year-old, who looks set to win a fourth Ballon d’Or in January after Portugal’s triumph and Real Madrid’s recent success in the Champions League, has splashed out on a flashy new Bugatti Veyron.

The €1.2 million super car can, according to Goal, reach a top speed of 410 km/h. Furthermore, it can also achieve 0-1000 km/h in 2.6 seconds.

No wonder Ronaldo described it as an ‘animal’ on Instagram.

The former Manchester United star then showed off another picture of his latest beauty in his garage, alongside the caption: “Garage time. Soon your honor arrive.”

Ronaldo will have fun avoiding autograph hunters outside Real Madrid’s training ground, Valdebebas, in that next season.

Ronaldo set to miss SuperCup on August 9

The forward is currently nursing a knee injury, sustained following a challenge by France’s Dimitri Payet in the Euro 2016 final last Sunday.

Ronaldo was stretchered off but returned to the touchline in extra-time to support his teammates.

At times, it was hard to tell who the Portugal head coach was: Ronaldo or Fernando Santos.

As a result of the injury, Spanish newspaper Marca reported earlier this week that Ronaldo is likely to miss the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on August 9.
