WWE legend The Big Show and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal met on the red carpet at the ESPY awards this week and it appears as though a showdown has been set for next year at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

The pair have a fair bit of history in the industry after colliding on Monday Night Raw in 2009. Most recently, they also grappled at this year's WrestleMania before both men were eliminated from the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

In the land of the WWE, there is always going to be intrigue surrounding a clash between two behemoths of their stature, regardless if Big Show's best days are behind him and Shaq has zero in-ring training.

The transcript from their red carpet meeting went as follows:

Big Show:"What you doing next year?"

Shaq: "I don't know."

Big Show: "Why don't we wrestle in Orlando and have some fun?"

Shaq: "Sure you wanna do that?"

Big Show: "I haven't got a lot of time left man, I may as well have some fun with you."

Shaq: "Orlando? My hometown? My home crowd?

Big Show: "Sure, why not? As long as you're cooking afterwards. You got to feed me."

Shaq then said "Let's do it," before the pair embraced for quite possibly, the friendliest agreement to a match in history.

Other athletes at the ESPYs were split on who would win a Shaq-Big Show match. Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love - a huge self-confessed WWE fan - went with the multiple-time world champion in the ring but O’Neal on the court, although, he amusingly suggested that a free throw shooting contest between the two would likely be a toss-up.
