WWE finally speak out after Brock Lesnar's failed drug test

The entire WWE and MMA world was stunned when it was announced that Brock Lesnar had failed a USADA drugs test.

The former UFC heavyweight champion failed one of the tests that he took in the buildup to his fight against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 last weekend.

We still haven't found out what Lesnar took to make him test positive, with some speculation calling it asthma medication, and the WWE have been notably quiet about the whole thing. Until now that is.

The sports entertainment giants have finally spoken out about the Lesnar situation, releasing a statement on the matter yesterday.

Unfortunately for fans wanting any more clarity on the whole saga, they won't be getting it from the WWE, who remained coy in their release, not saying anything of substance.

"Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, August 21," it read.

That was all it said. The WWE resorted to covering their own tracks and providing as little information as possible.

The WWE have covered themselves in this situation and they have to. With their talent wellness policy, which they allege to take incredibly seriously, it would be a disaster for them if it were to come out that Lesnar was taking steroids or performance enhancing drugs while under their jurisdiction and testing.

Lesnar will be back in action at SummerSlam. Hopefully, by then, we know what punishment - if any - Lesnar will receive from USADA.

Do you think Brock Lesnar will receive a suspension for his failed drugs test? Let us know in the comments below...
