Tim Reid, a Spurs fan, has had his life saved by Arsenal supporter Dany Reid.

Despite the obvious sharing of surnames, it appears that the duo aren't actually related but are very good friends. It's likely that they are even greater friends now.

Ultimately, then, Dany Reid saved his friend's life by giving him a kidney. As you can see below, Tim Reid has posted a rather emotional Facebook status, alongside an image of himself and his friend.

Arsenal vs Tottenham

The story is a truly incredible one and it's fair to say that both Dany and Tim will now be excited ahead of the new season.

After Arsenal somehow managed to pip Tottenham into second position in the Premier League table last term, Mauricio Pochettino's side will be desperate to finally finish above their rivals.

In truth, though, another top four finish and a solid run in the Champions League would be a fine achievement for Spurs.

Arsenal, meanwhile, must challenge for the Premier League title after failing to overhaul Leicester City last term. Fans of the club are still hoping that Arsene Wenger adds a world-class striker to his ranks before the start of the campaign.

Will Arsenal finish above Tottenham again this season? Have your say below!
