Pokemon GO invades Finnish side RoPS' goal celebrations

Pokemon GO is here and it is big. In fact, it is bigger than big. It is absolutely huge. The new game has only been out for about a week and is already the most popular smartphone game in history and has more active users than social media juggernaut Twitter.

Needless to say, the world is very much aware of the virtual reality game and it was only a matter of time before it breached the football pitch. 

Finnish team RoPS became the first notable outfit to pay homage to Pokemon GO during a match, celebrating a goal by pretending to try and catch one of the monsters with that already iconic flicking motion.

It was a pretty rubbish celebration and we can hope to find more creative efforts when pre-season gets into full swing later this month. However, for now, RoPS is all we have so enjoy the video embedded below.
