Needless to say, the world is very much aware of the virtual reality game and it was only a matter of time before it breached the football pitch.
Finnish team RoPS became the first notable outfit to pay homage to Pokemon GO during a match, celebrating a goal by pretending to try and catch one of the monsters with that already iconic flicking motion.
