Arsenal are close to securing the services of Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding, according to The Guardian.
The report claims that the England Under-21 international travelled down to London on Monday for a medical and to finalise personal terms with the Gunners.
Holding, 20, looks set to complete a move to the Emirates Stadium after Bolton accepted a bid in the region of £2 million from Arsenal.

The youngster, who has been at Bolton since the age of seven, was named the club's Player of the Year for last season and was then handed a place in Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 England squad.
Predominantly a centre-back, Holding, who is a ball-playing defender, can also star at left-back and should prove to be an exciting coup for Arsene Wenger and co.

It's uncertain at this stage as to whether he will be handed an immediate role in the Arsenal first-team, but there's no reason why he won't be able to establish himself as a key player for the club over the coming years.
It's fair to say, then, that £2m could be seen as a bargain for Arsenal in the years to come. But how have fans reacted to the news that Holding is set to complete a move to the Premier League giants?

Well, there actually appears to be an interesting trend forming on social media. That's because he has been compared to Everton defender John Stones, who has been linked with a mega-money move to Manchester City.
While Holding is set to join the ranks at the Emirates for just £2m, Stones has been rated at the astronomical price of £50m.
