Paul Pogba hairdresser deletes Instagram post after Manchester United claim

Manchester United now look all but set to re-sign France international Paul Pogba in this transfer window.

The 23-year-old departed Old Trafford in favour of a free transfer to Italian giants Juventus back in 2012, but it now appears that he will once again star in Manchester ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

There's every chance, of course, that the club's hierarchy will have to break the world-record to secure the player's services, but he should prove to be a remarkable coup nonetheless.

A report in L'Equipe on Wednesday night stated that United and Juventus had agreed on a €120 million deal for the aforementioned star.

It's safe to say that all the signs are pointing towards Pogba returning to the Red Devils and now the midfielder's hairdresser has got in on the act.

Instagram post

Indeed, while posting a picture of himself and Pogba on social media, the hairdresser claimed that he had to change Pogba's hair colour for his new team, Manchester United.

The Instagram post was quickly deleted, but you can see it here:

It's by no means confirmation that Pogba is on his way to England, but it should only increase fans' confidence that the club are going to get their man.

Midfield options

But which players will be battling it out with Pogba for a role in midfield next season?

As it stands, of course, new manager Jose Mourinho has the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini at his disposal.

Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin only joined the club last summer but failed to truly establish themselves as key players for the club. Herrera, meanwhile, has had a topsy-turvy time of it in Manchester and will be hoping to finally come to prominence under Mourinho's regime.

Carrick may well be approaching the latter stages of his career, but there's every chance that he will have an important role to play next season. And then there's Fellaini, who has more often than not come in for criticism at the Theatre of Dreams.

With Pogba incoming, Mourinho clearly has a decision to make on the midfielders currently at the club.
