Four people were killed when a Dallas Cowboys team bus was involved in a crash in Arizona on Sunday afternoon.

The tour bus, which was carrying team staff but not any players, got into an accident with a van outside Dolan Springs, between Phoenix and Las Vegas.

All four casualties were people travelling in the van, which apparently collided with the bus while travelling at high speeds.

A spokesman for the Cowboys revealed that neither the bus driver nor any passengers on board the bus were seriously injured.

"All on the bus came through OK with some bumps and bruises," Cowboys senior vice president of public relations and communications Rich Dalrymple said, according to a report from USA Today.

Dalrymple went on to add that the bus was carrying members of the franchise’s staff but did not divulge the number. There were no players travelling on it.

The bus was travelling from Irving, Texas to GameWorks in Town Square Las Vegas for a fan event that the Cowboys hold every year. The bus would then proceed to Oxnard, California for the start of NFL training camp in two weeks time.

This is what the bus looked like after the crash.

Our thoughts go out to the loved ones of the people who passed away at this sad time.
