The WWE Battleground pay-per-view took place last night and it was a good one for the fans who watched.
The main event of the evening saw all three former members of The Shield face off in a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Dean Ambrose came out as the winner, but it was how he won that seemed more interesting than the fact that he did. And it involves one last slap in the face for Roman Reigns.

In his first televised appearance since a violation of the WWE's Talent Wellness policy, which saw him handed a 30-day suspension, Reigns was booed heartily by the crowd at the Verizon Center, with heel Seth Rollins getting more cheers.
That wasn't the end of the bad times for Reigns, though. Vince McMahon still had two more moments in store for 'The Big Dog' that can only be viewed as punishments for his alleged failed drug test.
The first came when he was powerbombed through a table by both Rollins and Ambrose, a call back to The Shield where he was normally the man to destroy opponents in that fashion.
And the second came when he was pinned by Dean Ambrose clean, in the middle of the ring, to lose the match. There is no way that can be viewed in any way except as a call from Vince McMahon to humiliate Reigns and make him suffer for the terrible decision of taking a substance against the WWE's policy.

Just like at WrestleMania 31, Reigns had to eat the pin that lost the WWE title in a triple threat match.
It seems likely that this is the final punishment from Vince, who probably felt incredibly let down by Reigns after pushing him to the moon only for the star to get suspended. We'll have to see what is in store for Reigns on Monday Night Raw tonight.
