Randy Orton made his long awaited return to a WWE ring during Sunday's Pay-Per-View WWE Battleground, and it's safe to say, he did not disappoint.
The Viper has been absent from TV for the past nine months following a serious shoulder injury, but Battleground marked his return as he was the guest for Chris Jericho's highlight reel.
Jericho was interviewing Orton as he prepares for his SummerSlam match against none other than 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar, and it was clear to see that the third generation superstar hadn't lost it.

Orton delivered a brilliant promo, in which he took aim at the host Chris Jericho, mocking him for his returning feud against Fandango, and he also took a swipe at Lesnar for his recent failed drug test.
Whether that was scripted or not is yet to be known, but it certainly got a reaction from the fans in attendance as Orton sent a clear message to his SummerSlam opponent.
Despite the segment probably going on longer than it needed to, it ended in classic fashion as Orton sent Jericho to 'Viperville' with an RKO, and yes you guessed it, from outta nowhere.
After making his return to WWE, Orton sent out a brief message to his fans via his official Twitter account.
The former champ simply wrote: 'hmm...just like riding a bike. #RKOOuttaNowhere #WWEBattleground'
The 36-year-old superstar will now turn his attentions to getting back into the ring, which we will see on SmackDown LIVE after Orton was drafted by Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan during last week's show.
As for his SummerSlam opponent, it's not yet known when he is expected to return to WWE TV following his UFC 200 fight and also his drug scandal, but you would imagine he won't be a happy bunny following Orton's comments during the highlight reel.
