Manchester United may have told Juventus they are willing to pay £110million to sign Paul Pogba but the Serie A outfit are still demanding yet more money from their Premier League counterparts.
With the world-record transfer very much in the balance, the fee of Mino Raiola was always going to be a potential sticking point. The savvy super-agent reportedly has a substantial sell-on clause inserted into Pogba's contract, meaning he would become a very rich man if this deal was to go through.
Those close to the transfer always come up with roughly the same number, £20m. The Daily Mail, whose story we are bringing you right now, go with the hyper-specific £18.4m. Either way, it is a huge amount of money, enough to buy you an established international star like Joe Allen and have some change left over.

That is perhaps why the Old Lady have refused to pay a penny towards the Italian's fee. Despite Manchester United already spending a potential nine-figure sum on a single player, Juventus are demanding that the Red Devils fulfill Raiola's end of the deal too.
It could leave Manchester United facing a final bill of just short of £130m. One would suggest that once you have decided to go as high as £110, what is another £20m? But it appears it has caused an impasse between the two clubs with Old Trafford officials unwilling to meet the requirement.
But the fact that Raiola appears to be holding up the deal is of no concern to the French midfielder, at least according to his latest Instagram post. Raiola, who also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, flew to Miami to meet Pogba at his summer holiday base.
The 23-year-old has reportedly rented a $4,000-a-night mansion on an artificial island, inviting fellow football stars Antoine Griezmann and Romelu Lukaku to join him. Raiola may have met for business but one Instagram post appeared to show them having nothing but a good time.
The picture was accompanied with the cryptic caption, "we say it all by saying nothing at all". That could be a hint at a transfer or it could be that Pogba simply likes Ronan Keating. We simply don't know at this stage.
Real Madrid waiting
While all this happens, Real Madrid are sure to keep their eye on the situation. Zinedine Zidane has made no secret of his desire to sign Paul Pogba even though Florentino Perez has decided the finances are too rich even for his blood.
However, if the deal breaks down, Los Blancos will have a chance to negotiate their own fee.
