Jordan Larsson responds to Rangers transfer rumour

Football News

It's fair to say that Henrik Larsson has well and truly gone down as one of the biggest legends in the history of Celtic.

The club's former striker, who also represented the duo of Manchester United and Barcelona during his fine playing career, starred for Celtic between 1997 and 2004 and scored many goals for The Bhoys.

Larsson, 44, is now retired from the game and is currently in charge of Allsvenskan club Helsingborgs IF.

In fact, his son, Jordan, has been enjoying a steady rise in the game and is currently playing for the same club. Indeed, the 19-year-old, who is also a striker, is managed by his father.

Ultimately, then, it's likely that the Celtic faithful will be hoping to see the teenager join their club at some point during his career.

Larsson link

Unsurprisingly, it hasn't taken too long for Larsson to be linked with a move to Scotland. But there's an interesting twist. Reports have actually linked the forward with a move to Rangers. Yes, that's Celtic's greatest enemy, Rangers.

Surely the son of a Celtic legend wouldn't consider moving to Rangers...well, now we know the truth.

That's because the youngster has taken to social media following the speculation. As you can see below, Larsson has well and truly dismissed the notion that he could be heading to Ibrox.

Larsson initially tweeted: "Me? Signing for Them??? Are u having a laugh?😂😂😂 #getouttahere."

He then sent a follow-up tweet, stating: "No need for people to be offended or be offensive. It's all in good fun and just a bit of banter. People need to chill."

That's just about that. Celtic fans have absolutely no reason to be worried at this stage.
