Gabriel Jesus is one of the hottest footballers on the Brazilian market right now.

The Palmeiras forward is expected to be on the move to Europe imminently, with Manchester City rumoured to be winning the race ahead of fierce rivals Manchester United and Barcelona.

The 19-year-old is likely to cost over £20 million for whoever can get the deal across the finish line first and the Spanish club might have one joker up their sleeve to trump the English giants.

Jesus is currently with the Brazilian Under-23 squad preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games and Neymar has been offering the wonderkid a few words of guidance before he makes his next move.

The Barcelona superstar was addressing the media in the build-up to the tournament which starts next week and claimed Jesus would be a good addition at the Camp Nou.

He said: "I spoke with Gabriel Jesus. Not only with him, but also told other players how it feels to play for Barcelona and to live in the city.

"He is a great player. We know lots of clubs want him. He needs to know the right moment to leave, we want the good players by our side.

"If he comes to Barcelona he will be very happy. Maybe we're the biggest club in the world. The city and the day-to-day are wonderful."

Barcelona are keen to bolster their forward line options to form useful backups behind Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi next season and Jesus would be considered the perfect understudy to the deadly 'MSN' trio.

Reports over the last few days have claimed the Catalan giants are in advanced talks with Sevilla for striker Kevin Gameiro but Atletico Madrid's interest is delaying the deal being completed.

Should the Gameiro pursuit collapse, Luis Enrique could well ask Neymar to start leaning on Jesus further during the Olympics in an attempt to lure him away from Pep Guardiola and Man City.
