It's the moment Manchester United fans have all been waiting for: Paul Pogba is coming home.

Football's first ever £100 million-plus deal has reportedly been struck, with only minor details left to be finalised before the Frenchman completes a return to Old Trafford.

What a summer it has been for the Red Devils.

So close is Pogba's move to being confirmed that a medical has already been pencilled in.

This is according to revered L'Equipe journalist Nabil Djellit, who last night announced it will take place in Los Angeles today (see below).

By revealing Pogba landed in LA yesterday at 1:36pm local time, Djellit appears to have put his move beyond any doubt.

And it would seem any issues involving the Frenchman's demanding agent, Mino Raiola, have now been resolved after United agreed to pay the Dutchman an eye-watering £20 million for pushing through the deal.

He will also receive £4 million from Juventus for their troubles, with the Italian outfit set to receive somewhere in the region of £92 million for Pogba.

An exciting season now awaits Jose Mourinho and co. given the Portuguese tactician has also secured the likes of Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Quite how the former Chelsea boss will line up his United side remains to be seen, but considering the wealth of talent now at his disposal, he can't go far wrong.

It's likely Pogba will be deployed in a deep-lying playmaker role, though, after Mourinho told captain Wayne Rooney he will occupy the No.10 role next season.

Mourinho's focus will now be on trimming his squad ahead of United's Premier League opener with Bournemouth on August 14.

And according to the Daily Mail, he's already done just that after conducting a 'clear-out Thursday' this week.

Mourinho held crunch talks with nine United players to reveal their fate, including Bastian Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, James Wilson and Andreas Pereira.

Schweinsteiger is undoubtedly the biggest name to face the chop, with the rest due to be sold or sent on loan depending on whether Mourinho considers them a 'future Manchester United player'.

Wholesale changes were widely expected upon the 53-year-old's arrival at the Theatre of Dreams on May 27 and, simply put, he hasn't disappointed.
