When Alberto Del Rio returned to the WWE at Hell in a Cell in October 2015, it was a huge shock to everyone and he received a huge pop from the fans in attendance.

After a period of time away from the company following an incident where a social media manager reportedly made a racist joke at his expense, Del Rio returned and fans truly believed that it could be the start of a resurgence for the Mexican.

However, less than a year later and Del Rio is back on the peripheries in the WWE and is considering his future, thanks to a little clause in his contract that has been revealed.

According to a report from Steve Carrier of NoDQ.com, Del Rio has a clause in the new deal he signed with the WWE that many other superstars don't.

Apparently, Del Rio has a specific clause that states he can leave the WWE if he is dissatisfied with his role. Seriously.

"Alberto Del Rio apparently has a clause in his contract he signed with WWE back in September that allows him an out if he’s not happy in the company," Carrier wrote.

"While Del Rio is making big money with the promotion, they aren’t exactly doing anything with him. Del Rio can make big money working in Mexico and Lucha Underground and do so by working less dates. TNA has also shown interest in him, however, he put down TNA while doing PR work while he was in India."

So, Alberto Del Rio could really be leaving the WWE by the end of the year. A return to the indys as Alberto El Patron wouldn't be the worst thing. Del Rio was a star in Lucha Underground and CMLL during his time there.
