Pogba was on the fringes of the Manchester United first team at the time but was still part of the squad’s gaming group.

One of the most popular games at the time was Temple Run, which spent weeks at the top of the iTunes store, and Rooney set the benchmark on it in the Red Devils’ squad.

Rooney's challenge to Pogba

“4.5 million on temple run,” Rooney tweeted in February 2012. “Pogba young @tomclevz23 and welbeck beat that.”

That tweet registered a cool 3,834 retweets and was ‘liked’ over 1,500 times. Rest assured, that number will increase significantly when Pogba is finally confirmed as a Manchester United player in the next few days.

Pogba has 'passed' Man Utd medical

The Daily Mail reported earlier today that the 23-year-old has completed a medical in Los Angeles after agreeing a five-year deal worth a staggering £290,000-a-week.

He will wear the No. 6 shirt and the deal could be announced as early as this weekend.
