Barcelona play zorb football during pre-season training

Barcelona are widely regarded as one of the most attractive footballing sides to watch in the world.

However, one criticism that can often get thrown at them is 'they're too soft!' and can often go down too easily when being tackled.

Well, whether Luis Enrique has tried to toughen his stars up or simply wanted a laugh, Barcelona took a bit of time out of pre-season training for a spot of zorb football.

While most managers encourage their players to take things a bit more lightly at this stage of the season to reduce the risk of injury, there were no holds barred when Lionel Messi and Co. put on the inflatable suits.

Enrique is unlikely to have been too impressed with the brief amount of football on display as most of the players saw it as an excuse to send their teammates flying through the air.

Of course, the exercise is more likely to be a PR stunt rather than something Enrique has enforced on the team, nevertheless, the La Liga champions looked in high spirits throughout.

You can see in the video below exactly what happens, although the suits do make it quite difficult to distinguish out who's who.

Luis Suarez does appear to be one of the main instigators behind the carnage in some of the biggest clashes and it didn't take long for the actual football to become irrelevant.

Enrique's side had been continuing their training camp at St George's Park ahead of their clash with Celtic in Dublin on Saturday.

Claudio Ranieri's Leicester in Stockholm and Liverpool at Wembley also await the Spanish champions in the next two weeks as Barcelona step up their preparations for the new season.

The Catalan giants may have won their second consecutive domestic title last term but their quarter-final exit in the Champions League was a big disappointment and represents the big target Enrique will be aiming for during 2016/17.
