Manchester United's ongoing pursuit of France international Paul Pogba has already taken a number of twists and turns over the course of the past few weeks, but it finally appears that the club are close to once again securing the player's services.

Pogba, 23, departed Old Trafford in favour of a move to Juventus back in 2012, but there's now every chance that he will return to the club in a record-breaking £100 million deal.

At this stage, though, United fans are patiently waiting on any updates, desperately hoping that their club will finally take to social media to confirm that Pogba has returned.

The man himself is currently enjoying some time off after playing a key role in helping his national side to the final of Euro 2016.

And, despite the intense speculation surrounding him, he clearly hasn't lost his sense of humour.

Pogba posts

As you can see below, the dynamic midfielder has twice taken to Instagram to make a couple of jokes.

There has, of course, been so many updates on his future over the last couple of weeks but on this occasion, Pogba has taken it upon himself to release an update of his own.

In his first post, he stated: "breaking news: Pogba undergoes medical check in Universal Studios amusement park California #tweetcommelequipe #Imonholidays #nimportequoi."

He followed that post up with the following: "news: we catch Pogba with his contract in Universal Studios LA amusement park #tweetcommelequipe #Imonholidays."

It remains to be seen as to whether the United hierarchy will be able to get the deal over the line in the immediate future, but the club's immediate attention will turn to their showdown against Turkish outfit Galatasaray in Sweden tonight.

Despite the club's tricky pre-season so far, United boss Mourinho has hailed the attitude of his players.

"The players have been fantastic in their attitude," he told MUTV. "We have done a number of double training sessions, but I am not worried about them being tired on Saturday as the reality is we have to work and are looking at the game tomorrow as one more training session because the players need minutes - we will need to recover from that too."
