On the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, Finn Balor secured his place in one of the main events for Summerslam where he will go on to face Seth Rollins for the newly-formed WWE Universal championship.

The Irishman won a fatal four-way before cleanly defeating Roman Reigns on his first night on the main roster to earn the shot.

Now that the former NXT champion is a permanent fixture on Raw, there is a whole host of dream matches for fans to get excited about. Balor, 35, spoke to WWE.com this week and revealed the competitor he is most excited about getting his hands on in the WWE.

"You know, you're gonna think I'm making this up. But for the longest time, there has been a kind of mutual respect/competitiveness between myself and Seth [Rollins], I think. We'd done a panel the morning of [NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn], and it was something we touched on that when I was in Japan and Seth was in the independents in the United States, we'd always hear each other mentioned in the same breath, and it was like, 'Who's better?'

We'd never really had a chance to challenge each other one-on-one, but it was something that was always very much in the back of our minds.

"We both take a lot of pride in our work and are very competitive, and of course, we both want to prove to each other that I'm better than him or he's better than me. But he's someone I've looked up to for a long time in WWE. He's definitely the number one person I'm looking forward to wrestling, and it just so happens to be at SummerSlam."

Of course, it comes as no surprise that Balor would use that question as a chance to promote his upcoming championship duel, but there is a legitimacy to his answer too.

Both men were nothing short of kings on the independent circuit and the chance for them to tear the house down at one of WWE's four biggest pay-per-views is surely a victory for independent wrestling and the fans.
