WWE claim Big E was injured on Monday Night Raw

Football News

Monday Night Raw was last night, and while it may not have been quite as explosive as the first post-brand edition, it did provide some highlights.

From Enzo Amore and Sasha Banks teaming up on the mic, to Jinder Mahal's return and Randy Orton hitting an RKO from outta nowhere to Brock Lesnar, there were some moments to get fans talking.

One of those included The Club beating down The New Day in anger after a loss, and it ended with an apparent injury to a member of the tag team champions.

According to a report from the WWE's official website, Big E Langston suffered a serious injury at the hands of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

"WWE Tag Team Champion Big E suffered an injury at the hands of Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson following their match on Raw, WWE.com can confirm," they wrote.

"After Gallows & Anderson pulled Big E groin-first into the turnbuckle at the end of a post-match brawl between Gallows, Anderson and the entirety of The New Day, the WWE Tag Team Champion was taken to the trainer’s room," the report added.

"He underwent several tests and medical examinations, but WWE officials did not confirm the specifics or severity of Big E’s injury at this time."

This is almost certainly a storyline injury. It seems like the WWE could well be running an angle where Big E is put out of action for SummerSlam, leading to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston having to defend the titles, something they have never done together.

Maybe Xavier eats a pinfall, costing them the Tag Titles and causing Big E to leave the group in frustration? Who knows.

What do you think will happen with Big E now "injured"? Let us know in the comments below...
