SmackDown Live was last night and the show had its good moments.

American Alpha made their on-screen, in-ring debut against The Vaudevillains, while Bray Wyatt took on Dolph Ziggler in a number one contender match and Brock Lesnar invaded the show to take out Randy Orton out of revenge.

Something else that was pretty important also happened during the SmackDown show, but no one in the crowd got to see it.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, professional wrestler Brian Myers, f.k.a. Curt Hawkins, was backstage at tonight's SmackDown Live show.

Johnson went on to add that Hawkins is apparently back with the WWE as part of the SmackDown brand, making him Shane McMahon's newest signing.

Hawkins joined the WWE main roster in 2007 and was with the company until 2014. He held the WWE Tag Team Championship with Zack Ryder.

With Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan potentially bringing in a tag team Championship for SmackDown, Hawkins could be the perfect partner for a younger star to team up with and get some gold.

Hawkins would be the second SmackDown signing post-draft, following in the footsteps of Shelton Benjamin, who was announced to be returning by the WWE last week.
