The Olympics officially begin on Friday evening with the opening ceremony taking place at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro - known as the Olympic Stadium for the purpose of these games - before the basketball tournament tips off less than 24 hours later.

Australia and France get us underway in the first game but the real excitement is for the United States, who begin their attempts to win a third-straight gold medal against China at 11pm BST.

Ahead of the tournament, Team USA have been in a relaxed mood. Having won their five showcase games with ease, confidence is high that they can stand on top of the podium come August 21.

With the emergence of social media platforms like Snapchat and Instagram over the past four years, we are getting a behind the scenes look at the camp like never before via the players' own accounts, and Golden State Warriors man Draymond Green has been having a lot of fun.

When he isn't roasting Klay Thompson for his accreditation picture or sending 'accidental' photos of his nether regions, Green is targetting his compatriots' hairlines. In a string of Snapchat posts, he poked fun at the majority of his teammates.

You'd think on the luxury cruise ship the team will call home for the next two weeks, they could sort out a barber, as it seems a lot of the players have gone a while without having a shape up. At least Green was able to roast himself as well.
