Swansea have signed Birmingham goalkeeper Artur Krysiak on a three-month emergency loan deal.
The Swans have managed with just one stopper so far this season but boss Roberto Martinez was keen to bring in reinforcements should anything happen to Dutchman Dorus de Vries.
The 19-year-old will be thrown straight into the mix and will be included in the Swans squad to face local rivals Cardiff in Tuesday's highly-anticipated Carling Cup clash.
The Polish Under-21 international spent a week on trial at the Liberty Stadium back in 2006 before Birmingham tied up a deal for his services.
Krysiak has been included on the Blues bench for the last three matches in the absence of Colin Doyle but the Irishman has now fully recovered from a minor knee operation.
The midlands outfit will be able to recall the shot stopper instantly if need be but he will not be allowed to feature when the two clubs go head-to-head on November 21.
