Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling has dismissed reports linking midfielder Jason Demetriou with a move to Championship side Charlton.
Media speculation has suggested the Championship side are preparing to swoop for the 20-year-old, who came through the Os' youth system and has made over 70 first team appearances.
However Ling has rebutted the reports, which have also included Barclays Premier League side Newcastle as potential suitors for Demetriou.
"I don't know where the story has come from, and I certainly haven't had either of those clubs on the phone asking about Jason," Ling told the Epping Forest Guardian.
"Of course I know people will be interested in him because he is a good young player, and we also have a reputation for producing our own talent if you think about Nicky Shorey and Gabby Zakuani.
"I do see Jason playing at a higher level one day but there has been no interest in him so far."
