A Moroccan boxer, scheduled to fight in the Olympics this summer, has been arrested by Brazilian police over allegations of sexually assaulting two female cleaners in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic village.
Hassan Saada, who is a 22-year-old boxer, will be held for 15 days whilst the local authorities conduct a rape investigation.
Saada, who is scheduled to compete in the light heavyweight division, was expected to fight tomorrow, but he will now will be detained for the next two weeks whilst Brazilian police investigate the allegations further.

The investigation and the arrest means Saada's involvements at the Olympic Games are now a major doubt.
Brazilian media reports quoted police officials as saying Saada pushed one of the maids up against a wall, before 'pressing her with his thighs', and trying to kiss her.
He has also been accused of 'squeezing her breast' and making obscene hand gestures.
As of yet, there has been no comments made by Saada himself or the Moroccan Olympic officials.
The 2016 Olympic Games officially begin this evening as the opening ceremony takes centre stage, but with all the scandals looming over the event, the build up has been overshadowed.
