N'Golo Kante was unveiled in front of the Chelsea fans at the club's opening training session at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The France international, who completed a £32 million move from Leicester City earlier this summer, showed off his tenacity but was left red-faced by Diego Costa after attempting to nick the ball off his new teammate.

Kante was putting pressure on Costa, who kept moving and shielding the ball - teasing the French midfielder as if he were a determined puppy - before he found himself on the receiving end of an embarrassing nutmeg. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Costa, who presumably took plenty of joy from humiliating his teammate in front of his new fans, executed the nutmeg to perfection.

Chelsea fans will be hoping the Brazil-born Spain international can do the same in the club's Premier League opener against West Ham on Monday night.

Costa is staying with Chelsea

Many people expected Costa would leave west London this summer after it was reported that he was unhappy with the Blues and wanted to return to Atletico Madrid.

However, following Atleti's acquisition of the French striker Kevin Gameiro, it appears that Costa will be staying with Chelsea for the 2016-17 campaign.

The 27-year-old endured a relatively disappointing season last term - 16 goals in 41 appearances - but will be hoping Antonio Conte can help him rediscover his top form over the coming weeks and months.
