For those Premier League clubs not in Europe, they enter the EFL Cup - the League Cup - in the second round.

So, for Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton they have already discovered who they will be playing in the the second round.

Liverpool will travel to Burton Albion, Chelsea will host Bristol Rovers or Bristol City while Everton will play Yeovil at Goodison Park

The Reds knew they would be playing away after they requested that they played away from Anfield due to the ongoing work on their Main Stand.

Jurgen Klopp's side will be hoping to go one better than last year when they lost in the final on penalties to Manchester City, while Antonio Conte may see the competition to win his first trophy as Chelsea manager - that same thing could be said about Ronald Koeman at Everton.

The rest of the Premier League sides will join the winners in the third-round.

In the first round, the highlight was arguably Aston Villa being beaten 3-1 by Luton with Jores Okore scoring an embarrassing own-goal in the process.
