The rumours regarding Paige's status in the WWE continue to swirl in light of her recent pulling from the WWE's tours of Australia and New Zealand.

We reported a week ago that Paige would not take her place on the tour and while initial details of her absence appeared scarce, it has since emerged that injury problems are keeping her from performing rather than personal issues.

However, a few days later, reports emerged suggesting that some WWE officials were worried about her future with the company. Allegedly, the reason she was drafted to Raw and her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio was drafted to Smackdown LIVE was so that the WWE could punish the pair.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the latest news regarding Paige isn't any better. It appears as though in regards to her injury, there may be some nerve damage in her back/shoulder.

NODQ.com reports: "Her neck issue could be similar to what a lot of male wrestlers had where weakness in the right arm ended up leading to serious problems."

These issues are what kept Daniel Bryan out for over a year before retiring.

In fairness, D-Bryan ultimately hung up his boots due to the amount of concussions he had suffered during his career rather than his neck issues, and the former WWE world champion was training for a comeback to the ring before the concussion specialist got a hold of him.

Paige will turn 24-years-old next week and it would be a terrible shame if the Norwich-born star would have to call it a day at such a young age.

Hopefully, the injury isn't as bad as first feared and the former WWE Divas champion can return to the ring sooner rather than later.
