It is the first day of the new Premier League season and Leicester City will have to put their title triumph behind them and start all over again.

For Jamie Vardy, that fact may be particularly hard to absorb. The 29-year-old scored 24 goals on his way to winning the famous trophy, finishing behind only Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot.

He also set a new Premier League record for scoring in consecutive games after finding the back of the net 11 times in a row. But now the former Fleetwood Town man must shake off the critics who are chomping at the bit to label him a one-season wonder (mostly Arsenal fans).

A biased view

What was even funnier than Vardy's miss was the official tweet sent from Leicester's Twitter account to describe the moment. They tried to claim it was a "dummy pass" from the England international. Sure, Mr. Social Media Manager, whatever you say.
