Jon Jones makes interesting claim about UFC return in deleted video

Jon Jones may not be out of the fight game for as long as people are expecting the former light heavyweight champion to be.

The 29-year-old threw the entirety of UFC 200 into chaos earlier this year when it was revealed that he had failed two USADA drug contests in the run up to his main event fight against Daniel Cormier, which led to him being removed from the card completely.

Following that, it seemed certain that 'Bones' was going to be handed the USADA's standard PED punishment of a two-year suspension. Jomes thinks he might be getting off easier, though.

Jones took to his Instagram account, posting a video saying that he had gotten some encouraging updates.

The American then very quickly deleted said video. Oh dear.

"I'm sure you guys are curious about what's going on with this USADA situation," he started off as saying.

"Obviously I can't get into it because it's still pending, but what I can say is that we have found out lots of really good news and I am expecting to be back in the Octagon really soon."

"Thank you guys for your continued support. I love you guys and I hope you are spending this Sunday with people that you love. Be good and I hope to see you guys really soon."

Well, that is certainly interesting. Everyone just acknowledged that a two-year ban was almost certainly coming for Jones, just like it will for Brock Lesnar. Seeing as Bones was found with two substances in his system, something very interesting must have happened for him to be so confident.
