Manchester City are currently beating Steaua Bucharest 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier tonight but, frankly, they should be out of sight with just half an hour played.

And they would be had it not been for the unbelievable fact that Sergio Aguero has missed not one, but two penalties for the Citizens.

The first, inside the first 10 minutes of the crunch contest, saw Bucharest keeper make a decent save to his right. The second, though, was blazed over the bar by the Argentinian striker. Scroll down to see both 'efforts'.

Miss number one came after strong work from Raheem Sterling...

The second, which came after David Silva had put City in front in Romania, was a far more embarrassing affair. And not just because it was his second miss from the spot in one half...

With 103 Premier League goals to his name since arriving in Manchester, Aguero is widely considered one of the most clinical strikers in world football.

His reputation has taken quite the hit this evening, however, and, somewhat expectantly, the world of social media has not been kind as they react to the unusual 'achievement' against Steaua.

Judging by their first half performance, Aguero's misses shouldn't prove costly for City. They may, though, mean a new penalty taker the next time the Manchester club are awarded a hance to score from the spot.
