Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is desperate to get on the goal trail this season.

Pienaar has scored just twice for the Toffees since arriving from Borussia Dortmund - intially on loan - at the start of this season.

"I need to score more goals," he told the club`s official website. "It's something I am working on. If I can contribute five goals in the Premier League a season then that would be an achievement for me."

He added: "The last two seasons have been a drought for me in front of goal. I should score more goals.

"But I'm a team player and I'm happy to help create goals. But I want to be able to contribute more with goals when the chances come my way."
