After his debut performance against Arsenal, Liverpool fans were pretty excited about Sadio Mane.

The winger arrived from Southampton for £30 million this summer and has already starting paying back that hefty price-tag after his sensational individual goal against the Gunners.

His solo strike put the Reds 4-1 ahead at the Emirates before Arsenal staged a late rally to bring the scores back to 4-3.

However, with Kopites getting pretty excited about Mane providing the much-needed pace to the Liverpool attack, there were dealt with some horrible news on Wednesday afternoon.

Paul Joyce, journalist for the Daily Express, tweeted that Mane has been taken to hospital after injuring his shoulder during a training session.

While it’s unconfirmed how serious the injury is, Liverpool fans had a meltdown on Twitter fearing the worst.

Take a look at the reaction below:

Not only did Mane score against Arsenal at the weekend, he grabbed his first goal in a Liverpool shirt the previous week during Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Barcelona at Wembley.

After his wonder strike, Mane expressed how happy he is to have settled quickly at Anfield.

"I'm very happy to be here. We're trying to work on the pitch and in training by listening to the coach," Mane told the club’s official website.

"I'm very pleased because everything is going well. There's a very good team spirit and the coach is trying to help us give our best. I think this is important.

"I'm close with everyone. I'm just trying to give what I can. I'm impressed by them because we have a great team with big quality.

"Now we have to do it as a team and I think [if we do that] everything is going to go well for us and we'll be successful."

Mane will be desperately hoping he can recover quickly from this shoulder injury while Liverpool fans will be keeping their fingers crossed for good news.
