The gymnastics at the Rio Olympics may well be over, but the send-off took place last night and a Chinese acrobatics team certainly stole the show.

The foursome are currently world champions and they put on a show to remember in front of those in attendance in Rio, with the highlight of the show being 'a human skipping rope' segment, which saw two of the gymnasts swing a third round and round, whilst the fourth jumped over him.

The Chinese acrobats put on the show during the post-Olympic gala event, and their 'human skipping rope' went down well with the locals and everyone in the audience, including the commentators.

Sadly for the acrobats, their kind of competition isn't included in the Olympics, but they are always invited to take part in the post-Olympic gala.

The Gymnastics at Rio ended on day 11, and the closing gala took place last night following a memorable Olympics in the gymnasium.

It was a special summer for Team USA, who took home 12 medals in the gymnastics, with four of them being gold, six being silver, and two being bronze.

Team GB and Team Russia also enjoyed success this summer, with the former winning six medals, including two golds, and the latter winning eight, with just the one gold.

As for China, it was a very disappointing Olympics in the gymnasium as they are going home with just two medals, and both of them are bronzes.

Their two medals came in the Women's team all-around, and the Men's team all-around.

Despite their Olympics effort being well under-par, their acrobatic performance at the gala was something to remember.
