Andre Gray should be celebrating tonight following his superb performance in Burnley’s surprise 2-0 win over Liverpool at Turf Moor, but the 25-year-old could find himself in deep trouble after a shocking tweet he published back in 2012 went viral.
Gray, who joined Burnley last year following a spell with Brentford, posted an awful homophobic tweet back on 9 January 2012.
It was always going to be spotted - particularly now he’s playing his trade in the Premier League - and it’s now come back to haunt him.

But even if he does delete the tweet, or his account, questions are bound to be asked about the striker’s personal views.
