Turner sends Hull up to third

Michael Turner rose at the far post to head Hull back up to the dizzy heights of third in the Barclays Premier League with the only goal of the game against West Ham.

Turner nodded home Andy Dawson's corner from the right and the Tigers held on with relative ease to grab their third consecutive win and heap more woe on the financially troubled Hammers.

Carlton Cole was the visitors' main culprit as he fluffed a simple side-foot effort in the first half then scythed a shot against the underside of the bar moments after the home side had gone ahead.
